After reading a few medical journal articles/research studies last night, I'm now more convinced than ever that the diagnosis of narcolepsy that I was given is incorrect. According to the International Classification of Sleep Disorders, Second Edition, I believe the more accurate diagnosis for what I have is "Idiopathic hypersomnia with long sleep time". Yes, it's a bit of a mouthful when compared to "Narcolepsy".
